The Institutional Effectiveness (IE) Portal, housed in the Nuventive Improvement platform, serves as the official university repository for outcome assessment plans and results. Below is a detailed description of each step for new users to complete, and for existing users to use as a refresher.
Step 1: Requesting Access
- Determine Access Level: Identify if you are a Reviewer (Read Only Access) or a Unit Admin (Viewing and Editing Access).
- Send Access Request: Email ipa@fsu.edu with your full name, needed access level, and the specific unit(s) within the IE Portal for which you need access. Include any appropriate department-level leadership in the request email.
Step 2: Logging In
- IE Portal Link: Go to iep.fsu.edu using Google Chrome to ensure optimal functionality.
- Credential Verification: Enter your FSU employee username and password. If you encounter any issues, contact ipa@fsu.edu for assistance.
- Access Confirmation: Once signed in, you will be directed to the Home page of the IE Portal. If you encounter any issues, contact ipa@fsu.edu for assistance.
Step 3: Submitting Reports
- The IE Portal User Guides provide detailed step-by-step instructions on how to navigate the IE Portal and complete any task. Please note that the IE Portal User Guides vary by the type of reporting unit: educational programs vs. administrative support units vs. academic/student support services.
- The IE Portal Quick Guide is intended for experienced users and provides a short overview of the most common reporting tasks.
Optional Step: Training & Support
- Training Sessions: Access the Training tab on the IPA website to view and register for upcoming training sessions focused on navigating the IE Portal. Attendance is strongly encouraged for new users.
- Templates: Before entering content into the IE Portal, these templates allow you to view what information will be requested, draft content, and exchange and review reports within program(s)/unit(s) before submission.
